About the speaker

Olle Folke is Professor of Political Science at Uppsala University and, since 2025, a research affiliate at the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE).

His work spans political economics and gender & politics, with recent focus on labor markets and the economics of sexual harassment, including in the Quarterly Journal of Economics. He earned his PhD in economics from Stockholm University (IIES) and has held roles at Columbia and Yale, with visits to Berkeley, MIT, and Harvard.
