A group of SSE students have come together to create a care package drive to support Ukrainian refugees in Poland.

The Stockholm School of Economics has been conducting educational programs in Russia since 1997. We should stand up for the basic academic values and persevere with its research and science-based teaching. Therefore, teaching in Russia is put on hold as long as Russian aggression continues.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a serious violation of international law and has created a very uncertain geopolitical situation. The human suffering that the war entails will be extensive. It is my great hope that the Russian troops will be withdrawn and that the attacks will end soon.

The blog Ekonomistas was founded by six researchers in economics in 2008. The blog writes about economics and economic policy for researchers who are passionate about factual public debate and economic research. Several of the researchers behind the blog have been affiliated with SSE at some point.

Today SSE introduced its new recycling pilot project featuring the latest AI waste management technology. SSE is making conscious choices to reduce waste and to increase sustainability at the school. The machines from Smart Bins we are trying out will hopefully increase the waste we recycle at SSE and this pilot will be evaluated after six weeks.

Last year, the Stockholm School of Economics and their venture incubator SSE Business Lab launched Ideate, a new entrepreneurship initiative meant to get more students to start companies. Now the program reaches new levels, as the Stockholm School of Economics and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology join forces, making it possible for students from both of these prestigious schools to participate and start businesses together.

The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) has signed an agreement with Akademiska Hus on the acquisition of the building “Studentpalatset” (the Student Palace) and are thereby expanding the campus area. Studentpalatset opens up new opportunities to create an inspiring environment for education and research.

SSE students Markus Nilsson and Lovisa Bergdahl have been awarded the Gun and Einar Larsson Scholarship 2022 (GELS) for their project “Support for Entrepreneurs in Ghana,” respectively.
