Carl Bennet and the Marianne & Marcus Wallenberg Foundation join forces to sponsor a new professorship at the Stockholm School of Economics. This enables internationally acclaimed Martina Björkman Nyqvist to continue her important research on development economics and children’s health and education as the new Carl Bennet & Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Chair in Economics.

The scholarship of SEK 495,000 is announced by Swedish financial newspaper Dagens Industri in cooperation with the Stockholm School of Economics and utbildning.se and recognizes the next generation of leaders, with the purpose of strengthening Swedish competitiveness.

In light of this, the FREE Network, together with the Centre for Economic Analysis (CenEA) and the Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics (SITE), hosted the public conference “Higher Education and Research in War and Peace“ in Warsaw on the 10th of September 2022.
