First CAS/UI India research fellow appointed to deepen knowledge of business and economics
The fellow’s work is intended to be of relevance to academic, industry, and policy-making audiences alike, and has been made possible through financial support from the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the India Sweden Business Leaders’ Roundtable (ISBLRT). The fellowship is a one-year position, with the possibility of extension.
This is a unique opportunity to strengthen the research and policy focus on issues related to the economic relationship between India, Sweden and the wider EU. Dr. Arte’s research agenda fits well in line with the ambition of the Center for Asian Research at Stockholm School of Economics to work with high impact research and relevance for the public and private sectors says Dr. Patrik Ström, Director of Center for Asian Studies at SSE.
We had several outstanding candidates, but Dr. Arte’s experience of policy and industry relevant research and excellent academic track record, combined with a familiarity with India, the Nordics, and wider Europe, will be particularly relevant as we now start up this unique fellowship, says Dr. Henrik Chetan Aspengren, Lead, Project for Nordic India Relations at UI.
Publications and events connected to the work of the fellow will be advertised throughout the year on CAS and UI’s respective websites
