Angelica Bille Holmquist receives this year's SSE MBA scholarship

For the 19th consecutive year, a scholarship is being awarded for Executive MBA studies at the Stockholm School of Economics. The scholarship of SEK 645,000 is announced by Swedish financial newspaper Dagens Industri in cooperation with the Stockholm School of Economics and Keystone Education Group and recognizes the next generation of leaders, with the purpose of strengthening Swedish competitiveness.

“The purpose of the SSE MBA scholarship is to promote further education and raise the skill level among the next generation of leaders,” says Karin Wiström, Director SSE MBA at the Stockholm School of Economics.

The scholarship is awarded to candidates whose previous achievements and future potential indicate they will benefit optimally from the program. By strengthening their leadership and skills in responsible business and operational development, candidates will be able to benefit their company or organization and be a good ambassador for Sweden. Particular emphasis is placed on candidates’ potential to generate new business through entrepreneurship or intrapreneurship, in Sweden and internationally.

The 2025 SSE MBA scholarship goes to Angelica Bille Holmquist, Chief Security and Susatinability Officer at Eltel Networks Infranet AB, with the following motivation:

"Angelica is a curious, intelligent, and empathetic leader with a broad and strong track record, and an eagerness to improve and grow. She is knowledgeable and combines management and leadership in an exemplary way, recognized as a role model for others.

As the Chief Security and Sustainability Officer at Eltel Networks Infranet AB Angelica leads the organization’s integrated strategy for security, health & safety, quality, environment, and sustainability. She holds a strategic position in an important organization for the Swedish total defence. Her aim is to deepen her ability to lead in a time marked by geopolitical instability, climate urgency, and technological transformation.

Angelica has a unique and diverse background with extensive experience from different organizations, such as the armed forces. Combined with the new perspectives, insights, and knowledge that Angelica will gain from the SSE MBA program, she has the potential to build bridges and successfully take on additional ventures in the future and make a strong impact on society. She will also contribute greatly to the program and her peers. With her experience, background, and potential, Angelica is a highly worthy recipient of the SSE MBA scholarship 2025."

Through the opportunity to join the SSE MBA Executive Format program, I aim to deepen my ability to lead in a time marked by geopolitical instability, climate urgency, and technological transformation. I believe the most successful organizations of the future will combine business acumen with responsibility—placing security and sustainability at the core of their strategy. This is a chance to sharpen my ability to lead, drive values-based transformation, and contribute to a more resilient and sustainable business landscape. I’m truly grateful for the trust placed in me and excited to grow alongside experienced faculty and inspiring peers, says Angelica Bille Holmquist.”
