Application & admission

The next available start date will be December 7, 2026. The application portal will open at the beginning of 2026, and the call for applications will be announced on the website.

APPLICATION TIMELINE

We use a rolling admissions process consisting of six rounds, during which available seats are filled on a continual basis. As capacity in the SSE MBA Executive Format program is limited, early submission of your application is strongly recommended.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible to the SSE MBA Executive Format, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. A Bachelor's degree or higher
  2. A minimum of five years relevant professional experience
  3. A high level of proficiency in spoken and written English 
    A TOEFL or IELTS certificate is required unless English is your native language or you have studied for at least one academic year at university level on a full-time accredited program conducted in English.​​
  4. Demonstrate potential for development into high-impact leadership roles
  5. An open and inclusive mindset

APPLICATION PROCESS

Step 1: Check your eligibility

Submit your CV and fill out the  to find out whether you qualify to apply for the SSE MBA Executive Format. We will evaluate your eligibility as soon as possible and notify you via email regarding your qualification status. 

Step 2: Submit your application

Once you qualify to apply for the program, you will gain access to the application portal when it opens in the beginning of 2026. To start your application, click on Apply now in the "time line" on top of the page to access the portal (not available until the application portal opens). Utilize the same email address used during the CV review form submission to log in.

While filling out the online application, all information is automatically saved, allowing you to log in and continue your application at any time until you are ready to submit.

The admissions board will carefully review applicants' experience, qualifications, essays, test results, motivation, and reasons for studying.

The following documents must be uploaded as part of the application:

  1. ​CV in English
  2. Grade transcripts and/or copy of degree
  3. High resolution digital photo
  4. TOEFL/IELTS score, ​when applicable.
    Register for TOEFL with our code 6799.

We highly recommend investing time and effort in crafting thoughtful responses to the essay questions in the application. 300-500 words per essay are recommended.

Upon submission, reference requests with pre-set questions are automatically sent to your chosen referees. Two referees are required, and should be individuals who know you well in your professional capacity.

If supported by your employer, we recommend that one of your referees is your closest manager, or someone else representing the organization where you are employed. This gives the organization the opportunity to express the level of support, and also confirm that they are aware of your SSE MBA application. 

If self-employed, one of the referees should be your co-founder, partner or board member in your organization.

Please note that referees who are relatives are not recommended.

Step 3: Tests, video assessment and a personal interview

We will review applications continuously. If you are considered a good fit for the program, you will be contacted to schedule an admission interview. You will also receive links to a personality and intelligence test, as well as a short video assessment. These tests and the assessment must be completed before the interview.

During the interview, the applicant's current position, situation, motivation for studying, and future plans will be discussed.

Step 4: Notification of the admissions decisions

Admission decisions are made by the admissions board. If admitted, you will also receive a written offer from us, that we will ask you to e-sign.
