South Korean author Han Kang has won the 2024 Noble prize in literature. We have twice enjoyed Han Kang’s novels in the schools reading project the Literary Agenda.

The Hamrin Foundation has decided to support Art Initiative at Stockholm School of Economics with with a donation of SEK 10 million: 2.5 million annually for four years. It is an investment in future decision-makers' education and ability to reflect, says Lovisa Hamrin, chairwoman of The Hamrin Foundation.

A new art classroom created by the Swedish artist Marie-Louise Ekman has been inaugurated at the school. The classroom contains parts of the artist's own studio, as well as several new original works.

Cecilia Parsberg at Handels is an art exhibition based on a doctoral thesis in fine art by Parsberg. It consists of two artworks on five different screens on Sveavägen 65, and it's open from September 21 to October 18.

The reading list for the Literary Agenda 2023/2024 is here. The Literary Agenda has for five years given SSE students the opportunity to participate in book circles led by faculty, staff and PhD students. We read seven selected books a year. The aim is to promote self-reflection, empathy and cultural literacy among students.

As a celebration of the first ten years of contemporary art at SSE, Art Initiative and Magasin III Museum for Contemporary Art are screening a film program in the atrium during spring and autumn 2023.

Yinka Shonibare CBE is a world famous British-Nigerian artist who has created the Yinka Shonibare Room in the SSE main building at Sveavägen 65. The artistic fee for this work was generously donated by Yinka Shonibare CBE to the school in order for us to create the Yinka Shonibare Thesis Scholarship. Thanks to this scholarship two SSE students a year will be given the possibility to go to Nigeria for a month to do research for their thesis.

SSE Art Initiative is proud to present a new exhibition at SSE. During November and December we can experience seven photographs by Peter Stridsberg from his series Forecast Diaries in the corridor on floor 3 on Sveavägen 65. Welcome!
