Arbin, Katarina

Katarina holds a master and a PhD from the Stockholm School of Economics. She is a Postdoc Fellow at the Center for Security and Resilience and an Affiliated Researcher at the Department of Marketing and Strategy. Her primary research interests are procurement, supply chain management, sustainability, technology adoption and use, preferably combined. She currently studies the role of procurement to achieve preparedness and defense, and the role of public government procurement in shaping supplier markets. She also has a project running about AI and purchasing in the retail sector. Katarina teaches procurement and sustainability at master’s level and has published in journals such as Business Ethics, Journal of Public Procurement, Scandinavian Journal of Management, Safety Science, Human Systems Management and more. From working several years outside academia Katarina is skilled in sustainability, procurement, market research, business intelligence, business development and project management. She is also engaged in the MTC procurement center, a foundation focusing on and contributing to the procurement field.
