Sofia Antera
Sofia Antera, PhD, is an affiliated researcher at the Center for Migration and Integration Research (CMIR) at the Stockholm School of Economics, and a researcher in Education at Stockholm University.
Her research focuses on adult learning, migration, and Vocational Education and Training (VET), investigating how education and training can support inclusion, integration, and labour-market participation for migrants.
She is currently involved in a project on migrant women and their studies in healthcare programmes, exploring access, experiences, and success in healthcare education, as well as the validation and recognition of prior knowledge, skills, and professional experience.
In addition, she studies the professional competence and identity of vocational teachers and how teacher education can be designed to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with migrant backgrounds.
