Conference | Gender gaps in the AI economy
About
Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming economies, labor markets, and societies. As AI technologies are developed and adopted across sectors, important questions arise about how these changes interact with existing gender inequalities.
This conference aims to bring together researchers studying the relationship between AI and gender gaps in the economy. We welcome contributions from economics as well as related disciplines, including sociology, political science, public policy, management, computer science, and gender studies.
Possible topics include (but are not limited to):
- Gender gaps in AI-related education, skills, and occupations
- Gender representation in AI development and governance
- The impact of AI and automation on gender gaps in employment, wages, and career trajectories
- Gender differences in the adoption and use of AI technologies
- Bias and fairness in AI systems and algorithms
- Policy responses to gender inequality in the AI economy
